Emerging straight from the Nation's Capitol, James TREY Howard's musical journey evolved from his humble beginnings with the New Birth Baptist Church Youth Choir at the ripe age of 7. Further developing his vocal skills, TREY found great inspiration in his experiences at Morgan State University, numerous talent competitions, and joining the gospel group called Corporate Worship, headed by his brother and spiritual mentor, Minister Stephen Hurd. Launching a successful solo career during his college years allowed this talented artist the opportunity to tour overseas and throughout the Eastern United States debuting, chart topping records including "Wake Up" and "Feeling Good". In 2002, TREY began his debut gospel project, "Time to Sing for GOD", which has received moderate rotation on major radio stations, including Heaven 1580am and throughout the Northeastern region of the U.S. His works also include opening for musical recording greats such as Eric Clapton, Roberta Flack, Tonya Blount, Byron Cage, Karen Clark-Sheard, Maurette Clark, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Lexi and world-renowned Morgan State University Choir conductor, Dr. Nathan Carter. In 2002, TREY was blessed to sing on Stephen Hurd and Corporate Worship's project "Over flow Vol. 2 " where he was featured as a soloist on the tune "Working for your Good". In 2003, TREY was blessed with the opportunity to sing as a background vocalist on the Bobby Jones' Gospel television taping with the Prince of Praise and Worship, Byron Cage. Presently, TREY is supporting Stephen Hurd in his new Integrity Music label project, "A Call to Worship". Trey is participating in Stephen's national and international tour dates. To date, TREY has written a song on Stephen's New recording project to be released in the near future. Blessed by God with a tremendous anointing, TREY's unique and soulful vocals manage to effortlessly soar to a celestial realm enthralling audiences of all ages. As a producer/songwriter, he is an asset to his trade bringing forth a unique combination of melodious rhythms coupled with a wondrous mélange of uplifting lyrics that evoke a sense of appreciation, peace, and thanksgiving to God. Unwavering in his desire to minister the Word of God and his goal of saving three million souls, TREY's evident musical talents allow him to be used as a vessel in spreading forth God's message. This blended with his belief that "through Christ all things are possible", epitomizes the standards of true gospel artistry and carries gospel music to even greater depths. Currently, TREY remains a humble servant under the direction of his pastors, Drs. Michael and DeeDee Freeman at Spirit of Faith Christian Center located at Faith Plaza, 2261 Oxon Run Dr., Temple Hills, MD. There he serves as a member of the praise and worship team and a student of the Spirit of Faith Bible Institute. Guided by the Spirit of God, he continues to minister with the heart of Christ touching the lives of others and showing that the heart of GOD is in the salvation of lost souls. By allowing God to reveal his many gifts for the entire world to experience, James TREY Howard will indeed arrive to serve, worship, and praise GOD in spirit and in truth. |
